If there’s one thing Ke$ha loves more than glitter it’s animals.

Known for riding elephants in music videos and wearing feathers onstage, the pop singer jumped at the chance to become the first global ambassador for the Humane Society.

In an interview with MTV, the starlet said with her new found role, she hopes to raise awareness on shark finning and cosmetics that test on animal.

“I take this opportunity incredibly seriously because we are ALL animals. One of the main underlying sentiments of my music is to respect all living creatures just as they are.” the Animal singer said in a recent statement.

It seems Ke$ha gets a bad rep for being the ultimate party girl, when in reality, she spends a lot of time and energy into organizations including the Human Rights Campaign, where she just designed a t-shirt for charity. Ke$ha shows as much love for humans as she does for animals. Back in May, she donated 1,000 pounds of pet food to a local shelter after floods devastated her birthplace of Nashville.

Making the most of her visit to South America, Ke$ha enjoyed an action-packed day in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday (October 2).

The “Blow” singer tossed on a black swimsuit as she hit the beach and swam about the Atlantic waters – at one point having the unfortunate incident of paparazzi snapping shots as her top fell off.

During the course of her weekend romp, Ke$ha also took to her resort’s swimming pool as she shared smooched with her guy and girl friends while drinking caipirinhas and playing waterbound games.

Along with the beach and pool playtime, Ke$ha messaged her many Twitter followers about her Brazilian doings, as she wrote, “WENT HANG GLIDING. NOT AS SCARY AS SKYDIVING. BUT STILL KINDA SCARY. SORTA.”

The day of adventure comes after the 24-year-old made her grand debut at the Rock In Rio music festival on Thursday night (September 29).

Following her high-energy performance, Ke$ha tweeted, “I LOVEE you BRAZIL!! I hope I left u covered in magicall glitter steeze, weat, and sexinesss.”

Fresh from an incoming flight, Ke$ha was spotted at Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this afternoon (September 29).

The “Your Love is My Drug” songstress wore a shark mask as she made her exit from the terminal and was quickly ushered to her chauffeured car.

Yesterday (September 28), Ke$ha and a bunch of friends got crazy on a boat in Sao Paulo, swimming and enjoying the beautiful weather.

In fashion news, Ke$ha recently filmed a new video to celebrate the release of her new Casio G-Shock Baby G watches.

She gushed, “I think the Baby-G brand is amazing, it’s stylish, innovative, durable and affordable. The bright colors and metallic finishes really compliment my moods and personality. I have some fun ideas for my watches and I am so thrilled that I am the first worldwide female artist to be given the opportunity to design my very own Baby-G!”

Ke$ha has scored her first UK number one in the singles chart with “We R Who We R”.

The singer, who has re-released her debut album alongside new material for “Animal + Cannibal”, knocked Bruno Mars of the top spot with his single “Grenade”.

As well as Adele’s chart domination in the album chart, she has 3 songs in the singles chart. Her current track “Rolling In The Deep” is at number three whilst “Make You Feel My Love” is at number 15 and one of the highlight tracks from “21? called “Someone Like You” has also gone in at 36.

Other new entries come from Liam Gallagher’s new band Beady Eye. Their debut single “The Roller” has gone in at 31, Chase & Status featuring Liam Bailey at number 5 with “Blind Faith” and the hotly tipped The Vaccines are at number 32 with “Post Break Up Sex”.

Pop singer and rapper Ke$ha will perform her chart-topping hits April 5 at Wright State University’s Nutter Center.

Ke$ha’s debut album, “Animal,” was released in January 2010 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It spawned four hit singles: “Tik Tok,” “Blah Blah Blah,” “Your Love is My Drug” and “Take it Off.”

Her latest single, “We R Who We R,” from the EP “Cannibal,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The concert is presented by Wright State’s Activities Board.

Tickets for the public go on sale Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.

Pre-sale tickets for Wright State students, faculty, staff and alumni with ID will go on sale 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at Wright State’s Nutter Center and Student Union box offices only.

Tickets are $30 for the public; $25 for other college students with ID; and $17 for Wright State students, faculty, staff and alumni with ID.
